Extension privacy.

This policy covers the Hughie browser extension for Chrome and Firefox. braid ai labs, LLC is responsible for the information the extension sends to Hughie. The extension requires a Hughie account and an active Hughie Plus plan.

Connecting your account.

When you connect, Hughie gives the extension a sign-in token. The extension stores that token, your name, and your email address in this browser. It does not sync the token to other browsers. Hughie stores a hash of the token, the browser type, and when the connection was created and last used. A disconnected browser stays in Hughie's records until the account is deleted.

Saving a job.

When you choose Save to Hughie, the extension reads the current page to find the job's title, employer, location, description, and other job details. It sends those details and the page's link to Hughie to save in your account. It does not send the full page HTML. Hughie may also open the saved link and its application form to read the job and its questions. Links can include information in their address, so check that the page is a job you want to save.

Filling an application.

When you start an application from Hughie, or choose Apply on this page in the extension, the extension gets your saved contact details, application answers, and resume from Hughie. If you saved a cover letter or answers for that job, it gets those too. Apply on this page also saves the job's details and link to your Hughie account. Application answers can include work authorization, pay preferences, and voluntary demographic or disability information you chose to save.

When you choose Fill saved details on an employer site Hughie supports, the extension puts recognized answers into the form, including the answers you saved for that job, and attaches your resume when it recognizes the resume field. It does not type over text already in a field. If you saved a cover letter for the job and the extension recognizes the form's cover letter field, it sends the letter from your browser into the employer's form, as a PDF when the form asks for a file, or as text when the form asks for the letter in a text box. It sends the cover letter only when you choose Fill saved details. The employer's site and its application service can read those answers or receive the uploaded files before you press Submit. Their privacy policies govern the information they receive.

The extension sends Hughie the form's field labels and options, which fields it filled or left for you, the application result it detects, up to 500 characters of confirmation text, and the final page link. It leaves consent checkboxes and CAPTCHA challenges for you. You review the form and press the employer site's submit button.

Drafting answers.

After you choose Apply on this page, the Hughie panel can draft answers to written questions on the form. The panel is a separate extension frame, and the employer's page cannot read it. On a supported site, you can ask Hughie to draft answers to the empty questions it recognizes. You can also choose one question, or paste one if Hughie finds none. For each draft, the extension sends Hughie the question and any length limit on the field. It does not send text already in the field. If Hughie asks for more detail, the extension also sends what you type.

Hughie sends the question, the job's title, employer, and description, your saved contact details, links, and start date, Memory that may answer the question, and anything you typed to an AI model provider through Cloudflare AI Gateway. The provider processes that information to write the draft. Memory can include details from your resume, your other documents, and your chats with Hughie. Hughie is built not to draft answers that declare your consent, work authorization, pay, age, identity, health, disability, veteran status, or criminal history, and to leave Memory that states those things about you out of the request. It can still draft answers about your work experience in fields like medicine, law, or the military. This filtering does not catch every case.

The panel shows the drafts, and you can open each question to see the details Hughie used and edit the answer. On a supported site, Accept and fill puts the checked answers into empty fields. Insert answer puts one answer into its field and can replace existing text only if you choose to replace it. Hughie does not put a draft into the form until you choose one of these actions. On other sites, Copy answer puts the draft on your clipboard, and you paste it yourself. The employer's site receives an answer once it is in the form.

Drafting an answer does not save the draft, or the extra detail you type for it, to your account or Memory. If you put a draft in the form and then choose Save for later, Hughie keeps that answer with the saved job, as described below. Hughie asks AI Gateway not to keep the request or the draft in its logs. Hughie's records of draft use contain token counts and estimated cost, not the question or answer text.

Saving answers for later.

On an employer site Hughie supports, the Hughie panel has a Save for later button. When you choose it, the extension sends Hughie each written question on the form and the text in its answer box. This includes text you typed or pasted and drafts you put in from Hughie. It skips fields it recognizes as your saved details, the cover letter, consent statements, or CAPTCHA checks. Saved answers can include any personal information you wrote in those boxes.

Hughie keeps these answers with that saved job and shows them in Saved jobs. The next time you choose Fill saved details, the extension puts each answer back into a matching question that is empty. A new answer to the same question replaces the old one. When a job has more answers than Hughie can keep, the oldest are removed first. Otherwise, Hughie keeps the answers until you remove them, remove the saved job, or delete your Hughie account. While you have Hughie Plus, you can remove answers and saved jobs in Saved jobs. You can also delete your account, or email us to delete your information, as described below.

Where information stays.

The connection stays in the browser's local extension storage. Application details, including the cover letter and answers saved for the job, are held in browser session storage while you complete the application. When you apply from the employer's page, Hughie stores them in session storage after it fills or inserts on a supported site, so it can record the result. Filling and drafting are available for 30 minutes after you start the application. The details may remain in session storage after that time so Hughie can record the result. They are removed when the result is recorded or the application is abandoned, when the extension checks an expired record, or when the browser closes.

The drafts, the details Hughie used, and your edits stay in the extension's memory while the panel is open. They are cleared when you close the panel, when the page address changes, or when the extension detects that the browser was disconnected or another account connected. Answers you saved with Save for later stay with the saved job in your account.

Hughie uses Cloudflare to run its service and store saved jobs, the cover letters and answers you keep with them, account details, application records, and documents. Hughie uses extension data to save jobs, draft answers, and help you fill applications. We do not sell extension data or use it for advertising.

The extension does not read your browser history. It sends the job links you choose to save or apply on and the application activity described above. It has no advertising or analytics code. Requests to Hughie also pass through the service's hosting and request logs. See the website privacy policy.

Disconnecting and deleting information.

You can disconnect a browser in your Hughie account settings, including after your Plus plan ends. Disconnecting revokes its access. The extension clears the stored connection when it next learns that access has been revoked. Removing the extension clears its browser storage. Disconnecting or removing it does not delete saved information from your Hughie account.

You can delete your Hughie account in account settings, or email [email protected] with a request to delete your information. Deleting information from Hughie does not delete an application, resume, or cover letter already sent to an employer. Contact that employer about its copy.
